A personal introduction
About me
I’m Ethan Yam, a Business Administration student at Singapore Polytechnic.
I like starting with a question I can get specific about. At MOL Drybulk, that meant asking what two charter benchmarks could tell me about the shipping market, and where the comparison stopped being useful.
At SociusFlow, I’ve worked on a different kind of question. When a student has a deadline and a gap between classes, what would actually help them decide what to do next? Youth policy work has given me another way to think about who needs to act and what happens after a decision is made.
I’m interested in commercial research, market analysis and business operations. On this site, I’ve written about how I approached a few of those projects and what I learnt from them.
