SociusFlow · Planning the student day
A workflow that turns a deadline and a timetable gap into a study session the student can move.
Context
SociusFlow explores a common student problem. Timetables and deadlines can be easy to record but harder to turn into a plan for the day.
My role
As managing director, I worked on the product direction and how to prioritise a first version for polytechnic and university students.
Approach
My product priority was to establish a basic planning loop before adding AI suggestions. A student needs to see the deadline, find time and revise the plan when the day changes. That gives the team a concrete workflow to design around and keeps the final scheduling decision with the student.

Illustrative workflow
- Capture the deadline. A student adds a Friday presentation and identifies one preparation task, drafting the opening.
- Find a gap. The timetable leaves 30 minutes between two classes on Wednesday. The planner suggests putting that task there.
- Review and move it. If a class runs late, the student moves the task to Thursday and can still see its Friday deadline.
This example uses fictional tasks and timings. It shows the planning decision a student needs to make.
What I learnt
An automatically generated plan still needs to be easy for a student to review and change when their day shifts.
